Welcome to Winkler Wild Youth Soccer

Winkler Wild is a semi-competitive, coed youth soccer program that participates in a regional league, competing against teams in the Pembina Valley. This program is designed for young players who want to improve their soccer skills and learn the game in a fun, supportive setting. While there is a competitive aspect, the focus is on personal growth, teamwork, and playing with integrity. Players are encouraged to push themselves and develop their skills, but the priority is always fair play, respect for teammates and opponents, and creating a positive experience for everyone. Coaches will emphasize building confidence, communication, and sportsmanship, encouraing that all players have an opportunity to shine, regardless of their skill level. We host coed teams in the following age divisions: U10, U12, U14, U17.

Season

Our soccer season begins end of April and goes till late June with registration taking place early February.

In an effort to ensure equal strength teams are made, and evaluation of teams and players will be done on a Saturday in April.
Your child will meet their potential coaches and teammates, though some changes may be made after this date.
*If there are not enough coaches for the number of children registered, this event will serve as a try-out, with potential cuts to rosters

Equipment required

Shin guards, cleats and soccer socks
Water bottle
Weather appropriate clothing, we will play in light rain (weather cancellations will be communicated through the team app)
Your jersey is provided by the league, please wash and return it at the end of the season

League Information

Included with your schedule will be a hand-out with the league rules and what is expected of players and spectators at all times.
Please respect and follow the rules at all times, including where spectators should be seated.
